Generative Solar Screens…

March 29, 2010

I’ve finished off the Solar 2010 paper on Generative Design and Analysis of Solar Screens.  You can download your very own copy here!

I am also co-author on a second paper with Ihab Elzeyadi from the UO: “Dynamic Daylight- Delight verses Intensity: The Relationship Between Daylighting Quality, Building Orientation, and Office Layout Inside LEED Daylit Commercial Buildings with Glazed Facades”

This paper is in part based upon work I did in a course taught by Prof Elzeyadi last year, where we photographed lighting conditions in a variety of offices on the 5th floor of the OHSU South Waterfront building and then did a computational analysis of the glare conditions.   I’m quite honored to be a co-author and many thanks to Ihab for doing that.

The two papers will appear back-to-back in a Thursday morning session entitled “Luminaries – Daylighting Applications”
